Rainmühle stands in an outstanding landscape around 7 kilometers (5 miles) from the historic and famous town of Marianske Lazne (Marienbad). It forms part of an enclosed courtyard comprising the mill and barn.

Steeply rising forests, meadows filled with flowers and butterflies, and a small picturesque stream feeding the mill pond form this oasis of peace and calm at the end of the village. During a short walk in the surroundings you can spot groups of deer, kingfishers piercing the shaded gloom, or watch hawks and eagles soaring high overhead. It is part of the Slavkovsky Les conservation area with the unspoilt landscape continuing for dozens of kilometers in either direction and accessible via footpaths and bicycle tracks with mineral springs a feature on many of the routes.
